Te au 'Anga’anga Kapiti’anga
Te Rito o Taku Peu Tupuna partners with local creators and cultural projects that celebrate and strengthen Cook Islands identity. Each collaboration reflects a shared commitment to the preservation of Cook Islands’ heritage, history, art and language through multiple programs and initiatives.
Te Maeva Nui
Te Maeva Nui is the Cook Islands’ largest cultural celebration, marking our nation’s journey of self-governance. We were honoured to support the event as key sponsors in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Our involvement reflects a continued commitment to seeing Cook Islands culture thrive by celebrating the arts, language, and traditions that unite our people.
Grant Funding
Each year, we provide grant funding to individuals and groups whose projects align with our vision to preserve and carry Cook Islands culture into the future. These grants help artists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and others bring creative ideas to life and pass on cultural knowledge to the next generation.
Festival of Pacific
Arts & Culture
In 2024, we supported the Cook Islands delegation to the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) in Hawai‘i. FestPAC is a gathering that unites Pacific nations through creativity and tradition. It was an opportunity to showcase the beauty of our culture on an international stage and strengthen the bonds that connect us with our Pacific neighbours.
Mrs J Finch Books
We are honoured to support Mrs Joyana Finch, an inspiring Cook Islands author whose children’s books explore themes of science, creativity, and imagination. Her books range from electrons and atoms to mermaids and deep-sea nodules. Her work sparks curiosity in young readers while weaving Cook Islands stories and perspectives into modern education, which aligns with Te Rito’s heart to nurture knowledge, culture, and future thinkers.
Miss Cook Islands
We were key sponsors of Miss Cook Islands 2025, which celebrates confidence, culture, and leadership among Cook Islands women. This collaboration reflects our heart to empower young women to carry their heritage with strength, purpose, and a voice that represents our nation with grace.
